Your Adult Life

They say that what happens to you growing up will have a profound effect on how you react to things in your adult life.  For instance if a little girl often sees here father coming and going as he pleases and her mother is always crying; is there a chance that this little girl will allow men to treat her this way? If a child is often beaten and neglected, does he/she become a serial killer?  I believe we all wish that we could go back to our childhood, have a chance to start over again.  What kind of decisions would you make, would you be true to who you really are? Truth is we all make mistakes, and we are accountable for our own actions.  You can't go around blaming anyone but yourself in your adult life.  You can't blame the person who broke your heart for it made you stronger.  You can't blame cops for throwing your ass in jail, you know right from wrong.  We all want to place blame, you can't even blame your parents because they tried to tell you...and you thought you knew it all. The only problem I have with childhood really is what I was taught in school.  There was never a class called "budgeting" or "how to work a 9-5", "teamwork", "how to write a resume", "proper money mgmt", "how to recover from a broken heart", "anger management", "respect for one another"....I mean seriously! Where would we all be in the world had we learned these things at a young age?
